Understanding Kingdom Migration in Rise of Kingdoms

Migration is a core mechanic in Rise of Kingdoms that allows governors to relocate their city to a different kingdom. Whether you are looking to join a more active alliance or move to a younger kingdom, understanding the mechanics is vital to avoid being stranded.

Essential Pre-Migration Requirements

According to game-code logic, you cannot simply initiate a move at any time. Before you can use a Passport Page, you must satisfy these server-side requirements:

  • Alliance Status: You must leave your current alliance before the migration process can begin.
  • Troop Status: All troops must be home. If your troops are currently gathering, reinforcing, or marching, the system will block the migration request.
  • Resource Caps: Your total resources must not exceed the storage capacity of your current Storehouse level.
  • Character Age: Your account must be at least 30 days old.

Passport Page Cost Scaling

Server-side data indicates that the cost of migration is tied directly to your total Power level. As your account grows, the number of Passport Pages required increases significantly. Below is the breakdown of the scaling system:

Power Level Passport Pages Required
Under 10M 1
10M - 15M 2
15M - 25M 3
25M - 35M 5
35M - 45M 10
45M - 55M 15
55M - 65M 20
65M - 75M 30
75M - 85M 45
85M+ 75

Strategic Considerations

When planning your migration, keep in mind that kingdoms have "Power Caps" for incoming players. Even if you have the required Passport Pages, you may be unable to migrate if the target kingdom has reached its maximum capacity for high-power governors. Always check the target kingdom's migration status in the 'Kingdom List' menu before purchasing your Passports.

Furthermore, ensure that your destination kingdom is in the correct "season" or "age" relative to your account's age, as there are strict limitations preventing high-power accounts from migrating into significantly younger kingdoms (often referred to as "imperium" or "seed" restrictions).
